Just relate the first alphabet of the name of the elements with the first alphabet of the MENOMENICS and learn them. You will easily learn them as MENOMENICS are easier to memorize.

S-BLOCK ELEMENT(MENOMENICS):

Group 1 and Group 2 elements of the modern periodic table are called S block elements. The two types of S- block elements are possible i.e. the elements with one electron (s1) or the elements with two electrons (s2) in their s-subshell.

S- block comprises of 14 elements: hydrogen (H), lithium (Li), helium (He), sodium (Na), beryllium (Be), potassium (K), magnesium (Mg), rubidium (Rb), calcium (Ca), cesium (Cs), strontium (Sr), francium (Fr), barium (Ba), and radium (Ra).

also known as alkali metal.

Group 2 includes:-

Beryllium(Be),Magnesium(Mg),Calcium(Ca),

Strontium(Sr),Barium(Br),and Radium(Ra).Hence known as alkali earth metal.

P-BLOCK ELEMENT(MENOMENICS):

• P-BLOCK element are the last six group of the periodic table(group 13 to 18) have their own valence electron. This block contains non-metal, semi-metal and poor metals.

P-BLOCK ELEMENT(MENOMENICS):

Group 13 includes:-

Boron(B),Aluminium(Al),Gallium (Ga),Indium(In),and Thallium(Ti).This group is known as Boron group.

P-BLOCK ELEMENT(MENOMENICS):

Group 14 includes:-

Carbon(C),Silicon(Si),Germanium (Ge),Tin(Sn),and lead(Pb).This group is known as carbon group.

Group 15 includes:-

Group 16 includes:-

Oxygen(O) sulphur (S), Selenium(Se), Tellurium(Te), and Polonium(Po).This groups are known as oxygen group.
